ISANA NZ Conference 2023 Wrap Up

27 March 2023

New Zealand Homestay (NZH) has officially launched in Auckland at the 2023 ISANA NZ Conference.

As one of the first face-to-face events for the New Zealand international education industry in a number of years, NZH Executive Director David Bycroft and NZH CEO Julie Manche had the privilege of connecting with education providers, government officials, programme managers and other key stakeholders.

Our team networked with delegates to introduce the NZH brand and standards to the market, with many positive relationships formed to support the ongoing need for high-quality accommodation for students studying in Aotearoa. New partnerships were discussed as well as opportunities to work together to host study tour groups in addition to longer-term placements. A campaign recruiting local families to join NZH has already seen more than 100 host applications from across the North and South Islands.

Mr Bycroft also presented a keynote speech highlighting new growth and sustainability strategies for international education stakeholders on Day 1 of the event.
